I started this blog around the same time I went back to work, mainly because that was a heavy stage in my journey through mummyhood. I not only became extremely self-concious about my stubborn baby weight, but had to start pumping in an empty office twice a day. I don’t think I’m alone here, for most mamas returning to work, a year out of the rat race, alongside new body and perhaps breastfeeding bosoms, will top back to work anxiety.
As I still see September as a new beginning, despite having left academia many moons ago, I thought i’d time this Back to Work Fashion post with the kids going back to school.
Now forget dresses, the ideal working mum wardrobe is packed with separates which give you comfort and flexibility and still allow you to look and feel confident, competent, comfortable and chic. Leave any body hang ups firmly behind you as you get into the swing of being mummy until you wave “bye bye” to your little one in the morning and then career woman navigating your commute and hitting the office in style. I’ve pulled together my shopping list, so you can take one more thing off your worry sheet.
